School Uniform

Our uniform is an important part of school life and we expect parents to support our high expectations.

If you have difficulty in meeting any of our uniform requirements, please come in and talk to us, we can often help resolve any issues.

We encourage all children to wear our school colours and clothing.

Details are:

  • Black/Grey trousers
  • White shirt/polo shirt
  • Dallow Red sweatshirt
  • Black or grey shoes
  • Grey Socks
  • Grey trousers/skirts/pinafore
  • Red/white checked dresses (in the summer
  • White blouse/polo shir
  • Dallow Red cardigan/sweatshir
  • Black or grey shoe
  • White socks or white/grey/red tights

(leggings are not part of our uniform)

Girls can wear headscarves, but these must be red.

Headscarves are available from the school office.

Shoes can be an expensive problem for parents. Black/Grey shoes must be worn. For health and safety reasons they should have backs and low heels. NO trainers to be worn.  It is important that the children are provided with a pair of trainers/plimsolls for PE. This is, again, for health reasons and so that the interior of the school remains clean – it is not very pleasant having to sit on a muddy carpet.

Children's clothing must be labelled in some way. Please help us identify the owner of yet another red sweatshirt!

The children are required to change for PE. Our PE kit consists of:

  • White t-shirt/House t-shirt
  • Black shorts/jogging bottoms/leggings
  • Plimsolls or trainers

PE kit needs to be brought into school in a small drawstring bag as our cloakrooms cannot accommodate large sports bags or rucksacks.

No jewellery is to be worn to school except small stud earrings (which must be removed for PE and swimming). Hoop earrings and larger studs can be unsuitable for school as are necklaces, rings or bracelets.

Long hair must be tied back at all times and we do not permit extreme hairstyles such as ‘Mohican styles, dyed, gelled, cut in patterns or spiked hair.
