Home School Agreement

PUPILS I will: ● Play a positive role in school life so that the Ethos and Values of the school can be achieved ● Come to school every day, on time ● Be ready to learn and enjoy learning ● Work hard, persevere and always try my best ● Listen carefully to the adults in school and act upon the advice I am given in order to improve my learning or behaviour ● Use technology and the internet safely ● Remember to bring the right equipment to school and take care of it ● Be smart by wearing the school uniform ● Talk to an appropriate adult if I need help or feel unhappy ● Complete my homework or the home learning set for me if learning is remote ● Follow the school rules and protect the rights of others ● Make positive behaviour choices ● Be proud of my learning successes and the learning successes of other children; I will celebrate these |

PARENTS/CARERS I/We will: ● Work with the school to achieve the Ethos and Values of the school ● See that my child attends school every day and that they arrive at school on time ● Inform the school if my child is going to be absent every day that they are off ● Encourage and support my child with regards to their learning, talking to them regularly about what they have learnt ● Ensure that my child uses technology and the internet safely ● See that my child has the right equipment for school each day, including their book bag/rucksack, water bottle and PE kit (where applicable) ● Ensure that my child has the correct uniform for school, including in relation to shoes, hair accessories and jewellery ● Let school staff know if there are any concerns which might affect my child’s learning or behaviour ● Support my child with their homework or home learning in the event of remote learning due to self-isolation or localised school closures ● Support the school with regards to the implementation of the Behaviour Policy ● Be informed about my child’s life in school e.g. by attending Parents’ Evening and taking part in discussions about my child’s learning ● Voice any concerns or worries about my child with regards to the provision made at the school directly with school staff rather than using social networking sites to share my views and opinions ● Protect the children at Dallow Primary by refraining from posting school-related photographs and video clips on the internet, including on social networking sites ● Park safely and thoughtfully in the neighbouring roads, when dropping off and collecting my child(ren). |

SCHOOL The staff and governors at Dallow Primary will: ● Work tirelessly in order to achieve the Ethos and Values of the school and to provide the best possible education for every child at the school ● Offer a provision that supports each child to learn effectively in order to reach their full potential and helps children to enjoy their time in school ● Ensure that the children use technology and the internet safely ● Contact parents/carers about attendance or punctuality issues where necessary, offering support as required ● Where necessary, contact parents/carers to inform them of the equipment that is needed by their child ● Support the children to wear their uniform correctly ● Let parents/carers know about problems or concerns which may affect their child’s work or behaviour ● Work to promptly address any concerns or worries raised by either the children or their parents/carers ● Be available to discuss day to day issues with parents/carers as required ● Provide homework or remote learning in the event of self-isolation or localised school closures as well as guidance for parents and carers on how to support their child’s learning at home ● Implement the school’s policies consistently, including those related to behaviour, child protection and attendance, in order to do the very best for the children ● Share each child’s successes and next steps with their parent(s)/carer(s) through a range of events and activities, such as annual reports and Parents’ Evening |
