EYFS

In Foundation, we aim to improve the life chances of every child by ensuring the children are at the heart of our curriculum. We strongly believe that the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) plays a vital part in securing a strong foundation and believe that our first experiences of school should be happy and positive, enabling us to develop a lifelong love of learning. By carefully planning experiences that are tailored by the children’s interests we provide opportunities that are carefully linked throughout our EYFS curriculum to support, consolidate and extend their learning. Working in partnership with parents is fundamental in securing positive relationships that enable children to thrive and reach their full potential.  

We deliver the EYFS curriculum through play based learning with a balance of adult led and child initiated activities. We provide a rich and stimulating learning environment through both our outdoor and indoor provision. Our vital aim is to ensure all children reach their full potential by making significant progress from their starting point and meet the Early Learning Goals at the end of Foundation Stage. Throughout the children’s journey in the EYFS, the children develop a sense of belonging to our school community, ready to transition to Year 1.
